Consistant, even watering is the key to a thriving, healthy houseplant. The low amounts of moisture in our air and the high elevation cause houseplants to dry out very quickly, which increases stress on the plant. Always water on the same day each week and, be sure to water thoroughly and completely.

Signs that a plant has beeen underwatered include dry soil, brown roots and yellowed leaves. Most plants can be revived after being underwatered once or twice but can suffer irreversible damage if underwatered on a regular basis.
